Swedish composer, pianist, and sound artist Eva Sidén, together with Norwegian artist and sound artist Irene Gellein, are developing a large-scale sound and video installation that incorporates live performance. This project explores themes of
automatism, improvisation, the subconscious, and mythologies, using presence and performative gestures as central elements.
A key aspect of the project is the creation and use of graphic scores – hand-drawn and painted compositions – that serve as both visual artworks and functional guides for live performances. These scores will be amplified, allowing audiences to hear
and see the body’s movements and interactions with the material, bridging the gap between sound and visual art.
The installation invites audiences to engage interactively, where they can "listen to" their own hand-drawn graphic scores, fostering a dialogue between individual creativity and the larger sonic.
