Show up and write!

This spring, we would like to introduce a new initiative at the Faculty of Fine and Performing Arts: Write Together Sessions. 

The idea is simple: we gather in the same room, work side by side, and create a calm and supportive environment for focusing on our own writing or administrative tasks.

Dates and time:
March 6, 9:00–12:00
April 10, 9:00–12:00
June 5, 9:00–12:00

Location: Meeting room, Faculty Office, Bergsgatan 31B, third floor.

You are welcome to bring any type of work — research-related writing, project applications, course materials, or simply clearing your inbox. The purpose is not what you work on, but that you give yourself dedicated, focused time in collegial company.

We will use a light version of the Pomodoro method: 25 minutes of focused work, followed by a 5-minute break. During the breaks we chat freely, and during the writing sessions we keep the room quiet. You are welcome to wear headphones, preferably closed, non‑leaking ones.

There is no pressure and no expectations. You show up when you can and stay for as long or as short as you wish. And yes — there will be coffee.

If you have never tried this way of working, this could be a good opportunity to give it a go. Many find it motivating and rewarding. And if it doesn’t suit you, that’s perfectly fine too — just come by and test it.
