Sustainability at a Crossroads focuses on ancestral and roo ted people-place relations and knowledge-practices of afro-descendant comm unities in Brazil by the production of an ebó (offer\, sacrifice) to the religious figure Exu. \;The ebó\, in this case\, are bean seeds that are planted and watered in a cross-shaped soil where we\, along with the a udience members\, write the poem Debaixo D´Água\, Coberta de Terra (Unde rwater\, Covered in Earth) and sing ancestral songs to pay homage the diff erent deities (orishas) who represent the various elements of Nature in ce rtain Afro-Brazilian cosmogonies. \;The event will also feature a capo eira performance by Ana Paz and Nicholas Torretta from the Capoeira Angola community in Malmö.Participants are not required to prepare anything in advance.
