The exhibition has been given quite some media attention as Yael Bartana connects her work to the ongoing war in Ukraine, explaining that reality has a way to catch up with her work. "Now Mr Twittler is Putin instead of Trump, and the question is rather "What if women ruled Russia?"
The exhibition features Bartanas video "Two minutes to midnight" (2021) about an all-female government in an imaginary nation, gathered in a "peace room" as oppose to a "war room". The question being "What if women ruled the world?".
"The real world is however dominated by men and psychopaths and the concept of matriarchy has not accured in modern time", Bartana says in an interview by Dagens nyheter when asked about her motivation.
